Steve Calhoun was a Professorial Fellow at the University of Melbourne between 2002 and 2012. He has more than forty years’ experience in landscape architecture and urban design, and played a major design role for works such as Southgate, Deakin University, Newcastle Foreshore, Tarrawarra Vineyard (Yarra Valley), Laguna Quays Resort, QUT (Brisbane) and the Cairns Esplanade (2003 winner of the Australian Award for Urban Design Excellence).

The Steve Calhoun Scholarship offers recipients the chance to travel in order to advance their research to obtain data and source material.

The scholarship will provide one (or more) student funding for travel interstate or overseas to undertake research towards the completion of ABPL90375 Landscape Architecture Design Thesis.

  • I am a current student enrolled in Master of Landscape Architecture (single or double) in the faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning at the University of Melbourne;
  • I have completed at least 50 points of my masters and am in good academic standing;
  • I am enrolled/will be enrolling in the subject ABPL90375 Landscape Architecture Design Thesis in 2024;
