Grant Overview

Introduction

The Faculty has identified that there may be gaps in understanding what is possible or desirable in the maintenance of an active network of international partnerships.

The intention, through these grants, is to build capacity among our Early and/or Mid-Career Academics to lead and champion new and existing strategic international activities for the faculty. Proposed visits and activities should align with the faculty's broader International Action Plan. Please contact Adelle Spark, Manager International Partnerships at aspark@unimelb.edu.au for a copy of the plan.

It is anticipated that the funding may assist with career development through:

  • enabling academic mobility through international partner engagement;
  • encouraging a broader base of staff to activate existing and new international partnerships; and
  • promoting leadership succession in the international space.

For 2026 up to two staff partnership visits will be supported through this grant. Each grant offers up to AU$5,000. The grant should cover airfares, accommodation and planned activities.
